The Mythic is not only rich in features but is also affordable. For those with AT&T service, the Mythic will let you enjoy the telecom operator's Mobile TV service. The phone is not as high end as the Omnia or the Eternity but it is crammed with so many features it could put even Santa Claus to shame.

Verdict:

And excellent phone for multimedia fans, the Mythic not only carries a bag full of fantastic features but also comes with an attractive price tag.

Design and Display:

How much can you change the looks of a smartphone? How many contours can you add and how many curves can you carve? The basic touch screen phone will look the same, isn't it? The Mythic is no different. This phone is definitely slim though for all the features that it carries and weighs about 108 Gms. Rounded corners with a chrome lining and a glossy black casing are definitely attractive stuff. The black back carries a subtle patterned design which is attracts as many glances as fingerprints.

The 3.3 inch TFT display, though not comparable with the AMOLED screens of high end Samsung phones, is better than a lot others in its category. The resolution is impressive and the screen delivers the TouchWiz perfectly even in direct sunlight. The screen is also responsive to touch especially while typing or texting. Below the screen are just three buttons: send, end and a very aesthetically designed navigation button. The left edge holds the volume rocker whereas the right holds the lock, quick menu and the camera keys. The microUSB and the 3.5 mm jack find their way at the top whereas the battery, SIM card slot, and the microSD slot and placed within the rear cover.

The Mythic comes equipped with an improved version of the TouchWiz armed with home screens and innumerable widgets.

Camera:

The phone comes with a 3.2 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash. The phone scores over its peers with features such as quality settings, five white balance presets, five color effects, three exposure meters, a self-timer, flash, auto focus and macro focus, six scene presets and six shooting modes. However even with so many features, the picture quality looked only average and in dim light even worse.

The camera also features video recording in two different resolutions (320×240 and 176×144).

Multimedia:

The phone features the standard TouchWiz music player which is capable of handling all popular music formats. The player features the usual reverse, play/pause, forward, repeat and shuffle and can be easily put in the background.

The video player delivers with great quality video thanks to the crystal clear display and the support for DivX and Xvid.

Internet, messaging and MobileTV:

The Mythic's web browser is an absolute winner. Standing just as tall as some of the top commercial browsers, the browser is able to deliver sites in just about 30 secs. The browser displays a summary page first which can later be drilled down to the interesting part.

Messaging is again at its best here, with support for AOL, AIM, Windows Live / MSN, Yahoo!, Google Talk. Setting up an email is child's play and composing one is just as easy with the virtual QWERTY and the handwriting tool.

The phone comes with the next generation technology of MobileTV via mediaFLO. If your provider gives you the facility, you should be able to enjoy some fantastic entertainment on your mobile.
